Minivator is an established manufacturer of electric stairlifts, with branches in the UK known as Minivator Limited and Companion Stairlifts, branch in Germany known as Minivator Germany, chinese branch known as Minivator Shanghai, and Sterling Stairlift in the USA. Combined, Minivator is one of the largest worldwide producers and distributors of stair lifts.
Minivator is a part of a larger company Handicare which is one of the largest and fastest growing European manufacturers of mobility aids.
You will have available a substantial variety of Minivator stairlifts to choose from. The following is the current stairlifts offered by the company: You will be able to choose from the Minivator Simplicity and Minivator Simplicity+ Series, Minivator 1000 Series, Minivator 2000 Series, Outdoor Minivator 1000 and the Minivator Perch Stairlift.
All Minivator stairlifts have built in safety: Obstruction sensors to prevent damage to objects in the path, system displays for communication with the driver, the retractable and comfortable seat belt, and also the on/off switch to prevent unauthorized or unintended use of the stair lift. Here are some features that differ between the models.
All Minivator stairlifts will be perfecty fit to your staircase. Minivator uses an innovative way of surveying your stairs: The surveyor will place a series of placards along your floor and the stairs. Then, he will take a series of digital pictures. Your stairs will be electronically reproduced in the computer, and the stairlift will be designed based on this internal computer reconstruction.
Minivator Simplicity and Minivator Simplicity+ Series
Simplicity Series are one of the straight stairs Minivators. It is the low end model, so if you can see yourself operating the manual foot rest, and manually swivel the seat of the chair to exit and enter the stairlift on top of the stairs, then you should be satisfied with the Minivator Simplicity.
In case the rail of the Minivator Simplicity is protruding too far into the hallway, or preventing doors to open next to the lower stairlift station, you can install the optional Slide Track feature with Minivator Simplicity. What this element does is, it slides the rail up from the floor when the stairlift is away, so the rail does not protrude or interfere with the doors or the hallway. Just another example of Minivator's innovation.
Minivator Simplicity+ offers, in addition to additional six options on seat upholstery, also powered options for the swivel seat and for the powered foot rest.
Minivator 1000 Series
Minivator 1000 is another choice of the straight stair lifts besides Simplicity. Offering several choices of colors to match your interior, this modern slim looking stair lift also features the slimest track of all Minivators. The power foot rest and the power swivel are available options.
Minivator 2000 Series
Minivator 2000 is the curved stairlift offer from Minivator. The outstanding feature of the 2000 stairlift is the twin rail. Thanks to the twin rail design, the Minivator 2000 can be installed to cross tight turns, even spiral staircases, and fit tightly and not take much space on the stairs. Therefore, it can be installed on almost any type of stairs. Power swivel seat and power foot rest are available as options.
Minivator 2000 comes in two standard colors, gray and gunmetal, but it can be supplied in any color to match the interior of your home.
Outdoor Minivator 1000
Minivator 1000 is already half-ready for outdoor use by using an aluminum-based rail. To fully equip it, Minivator provides the UV protected slate grey colored outdoor seat, and the protective cover to shield the carriage from the elements - rain, dust, wind and mud.
Minvator Perch Stairlift
This is not really a separate model but it is a seat option that is available with the straight stairlifts Simplicity, Simplicity+ and Minivator 1000, as well as the curved Minivator 2000 stairlift. When a perch seat is used with any of these models, the passenger is allowed to lean, or perch on it. While still being protected by the seat belt, the passenger does not need to bend their knees. This has two benefits that are reasons why you would want to consider a perch seat in the first place: being hard of bending your knee, or having extremely narrow stairs, curved or straight, with the width of less than 28 inch or so. You will find it possible to use such narrow stairs with a Minivator Perch Stairlift, while installing a seated Minivator would be completely out of question.
